ITS SALES AND SERVICE NETWORK


PALM SPRINGS, Calif., AOPA, Nov. 9, 2006 – Piper Aircraft, Inc. today announced changes in its distribution network to enhance service for its customers and better align its sales territories.
 
Effective January 1, 2007, Piper Aircraft’s Great Lakes sales and service territory will be represented by Muncie Aircraft Sales (with territory to include Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and the southern portion of Illinois)  and Des Moines Flying Service (with territory to include the Chicago area, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minneapolis, and three-quarters of eastern North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.) 

Both Muncie Aircraft Sales and Des Moines Flying Service are among Piper’s longest established dealers, enjoying a distinguished and respected history of providing generations of Piper customers with excellent sales and service.

Muncie Aircraft Sales has proudly represented Piper for all 70 years of Piper’s history.  The company is employee owned and led by its president, Martin Ingram.

Des Moines Flying Services was found by Howard Gregory, who was personally appointed a Piper dealer by William T. Piper in 1939 and continues to be involved in the company operations.  Today, Des Moines Flying Service is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, has offices in Nebraska and the Chicago area and is led by John M. Lowe.
 
Piper also announced today that it has assigned its Central California and Hawaii sales and service territories to Southern California Piper.  Southern California Piper, which joined the Piper team in 2000 out of its El Cajon, Calif., offices near San Diego, will expand their Piper operations to a sales office and staff in the Los Angeles area in the coming months.  The company will further augment its staff and facilities with a new sales and service facility in Hawaii later in 2007.
