Vero Beach, Fla., June 1, 2011 – Piper Aircraft Inc. delivered the milestone 700th pressurized single-engine piston-powered Piper Mirage manufactured by the company to Muncie Aviation Company of Muncie, Ind. on May 27 here in Vero Beach. The aircraft will be sold to a customer by Muncie Aviation, Piper’s aircraft dealer in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and southern Illinois.
“This milestone 700th Mirage emphasizes the versatility and value of this reliable business machine,” said Piper Executive Vice President Randy Groom. “Approved for flight into known icing, the Piper Mirage is the complete package for pilots facing the challenges of operating year round.”
Muncie Aviation Sales Manager and President Martin Ingram said, “We don’t expect the 700th Piper Mirage to be available very long, as it is well-suited to operating in weather conditions near the Great Lakes, and it has the range and size to accommodate many eventual customers.”
