GDL 69 SXM Weather: Sirius XM weather provides detailed NEXRAD data, current METAR reports, precipitation, lightning, winds-aloft, echo tops, TFRs, and more. Information is provided using location-specific SiriusXM S-band geostationary satellites that provide seamless coverage at any altitude across the continental U.S..
L3 WX-500 Stormscop®: Stormscope uses a passive Mapping Sensor that detects electrical discharges associated with thunderstorms within a 200nm radius of the aircraft. This information is displayed and controlled via the G500. There is no transmitter and no harmful transmissions. The sensor operates on the ground as well as in the air giving the pilot important planning information even before takeoff.
TAWS-B (Terrain Awareness and Warning System Class B.): Confidently navigate through airspace with high-resolution terrain mapping with alerts for; terrain clearance, premature and excessive rates of descent, descent of aircraft to 500 feet above the terrain (voice call out of “Five Hundred”) and more.
