VERO BEACH, Fla. - June 12, 2014

VERO BEACH, Fla. – June 12, 2014 – Piper Aircraft recently received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for Piper Seminoles and Archers equipped at the factory with Garmin G1000 avionics and the Aspen Avionics EFD1000 Pro Standby primary flight display.

“The Aspen Evolution EFD l000 is proving to be a popular option in the United States for Piper’s Training Class aircraft and with additional approval of the system for the 32 EASA member states, we can offer the system to even more flight training programs,” said Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott.

Piper Aircraft is the first OEM to install the Aspen EDF 1000 as a standby system. The Aspen EFD1000 Pro Standby backs up the G1000 with a digital display that makes the transition from primary to backup instruments seamless compared to round gauges.
