VERO BEACH, Fla. – April 2, 2018 — Piper Aircraft, Inc. will exhibit its flagship product, the M600, during the annual SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo, held in Lakeland, Fla. April 10-15. The M600, owned by Red Bull Air Race pilot, Kirby Chambliss, features custom stars and stripes paint scheme and interior designed to match the Team Chambliss Edge 540 which will also be on display next to Kirby’s custom M600 and will be flown during the Airshow. Piper’s static display will be in the manufacturers’ exhibit area, booth # MD-9-A.

In addition to the top of the line M600, the company will display the piston-powered, pressurized M350 from the company’s M-Class lineup and will showcase its robust Trainer Class offerings, the Archer TX and the twin-engine Seminole – two key members of Piper’s family of training aircraft, which also include the single-engine Warrior and the single-engine, retractable gear Arrow. Piper Aircraft is the only OEM that offers a full line up of training aircraft.

 

About the Piper M600

The Piper M600 features a new, clean-sheet design wing and a sophisticated Garmin G3000 touchscreen-controlled glass flight deck. The M600 seats six and is powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A 600shp engine. The aircraft has a maximum cruise speed of 274 ktas/507 km/h, a max range of 1,484 nm / 2,748 km, and a standard useful load of 2,400 lbs. / 1,089 kg. About the Piper Archer TX

The Archer TX includes the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics package which incorporates modern processing power that supports faster map rendering and smoother panning throughout the displays. Saving valuable time in the cockpit, the displays initialize within seconds after start-up, providing immediate access to frequencies, flight plan data and more. Also included is the Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) (GRS 77), an Aspen Electronic Standby System (EFD-1000), a solid-state 3-axis Magnetometer (GMU 44), Dual IFR Enroute/Approach and WAAS Certified GPS systems and Nav/Comm (16 watts) radios (GIA 63Ws), an Electronic Engine Indication System (EIS), a Mode S Transponder with ADS-B in / out capability (GTX 345), Digital Audio Panel (GMA 1347), Traffic Information Systems (TIS), and Terrain and Obstacle Mapping round out the standard equipment on the TX. The Seminole includes the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics package which incorporates modern processing power that supports faster map rendering and smoother panning throughout the displays. Saving valuable time in the cockpit, the displays initialize within seconds after start-up, providing immediate access to frequencies, flight plan data and more. Also included is the Air Data Computer (GDC 74A), Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) (GRS 77), an Aspen Electronic Standby System (EFD-1000), a solid-state 3-axis Magnetometer (GMU 44), Dual IFR Enroute/Approach and WAAS Certified GPS systems and Nav/Comm (16 watts) radios (GIA 63Ws), an Electronic Engine Indication System (EIS), a Mode S Transponder with ADS-B out (GTX 335R), Digital Audio Panel (GMA 1347), Traffic Information Systems (TIS), and Terrain and Obstacle Mapping round out the standard equipment on the TX. The Seminole, equipped with two 180 hp Lycoming engines, has a maximum takeoff weight of 3,800 pounds, a max speed of 162 kts and ceiling of 15,000 feet.
