VERO BEACH, Fla. – July 9, 2014 – Piper Aircraft Inc. recently delivered its first Piper Meridian single-engine turboprop to a customer in Paraguay. Piper Aircraft, Inc. confirmed that Fiorucci International Grain Production and Distribution of South America, located in the Paraguayan capital city of Asuncion, took possession of the plane this past week. The grain company will use the aircraft for personnel transportation in support of their South American operations.

About the Piper Meridian
The Piper Meridian is a single-engine turboprop that seats six with club seating. It is powered by a Pratt &Whitney Canada PT6A-42A 500 shp engine and has a 260 KTAS / 482 km/h max cruise speed with a range of 1,000 nm / 1,885 km. The aircraft is equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite.
The Meridian features seats outfitted with luxurious hand-selected leather tanned in Italy. With their adjustable backrests and the ability to fold down, this comfortable seating configuration creates even more cabin space for occupants or luggage. Passengers have easy access to the interior baggage compartment and to amenities, such as two 110-volt outlets. LED accent lighting provides warm cabin illumination.
