VERO BEACH, Fla. – June 9 , 2014 – Piper Aircraft Inc. and Piper France SARL, the company’s authorized aircraft dealer in France, will exhibit a number of aircraft at the 8th edition of the Cannes International General Aviation Exhibition, to be held June 12-14 at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD).
Included in the aircraft exhibition at Cannes will be Piper’s newest aircraft, the diesel powered single-engine Archer DX training aircraft. Piper will also have a twin-engine Seneca V trainer on display, along with two of the company’s top of the line single-engine aircraft, the Piper Meridian turboprop and single-engine pressurized Piper Mirage.

About the Piper Archer DX
Powered by the Centurion 2.0S diesel engine, the Archer can cruise at a speed of 114 ktas / 211 km/h (at 70% power) with only 5.8 gph / 22 lph fuel burn. The Centurion can use both Jet-A and diesel fuel and with the two fuels in any mixture ratio. The G1000 avionics system as standard instrumentation provides a mix of low workload and high technology. The special flight school interior, and the aircraft overall, is well suited to stand up to the rigors associated with flight training. The Archer DX offers competitive operating economics with a proven airframe for flight training organizations worldwide.

The Piper Seneca is powered by two Continental Turbocharged TSIO-360-RB engines generating 220 hp each. The configuration of multiple entry and baggage doors with the comfort of a cabin-class interior makes the Piper Seneca V the perfect business tool or training aircraft equipped with the three-screen Garmin G1000 avionics suite.
About the Piper Mirage
The Piper Mirage is a step up from four-place aircraft. The Piper Meridian is a single-engine turboprop that seats six with club-seating. It is powered by the P&WC PT6A-42A 500 shp engine and has a 260 KTAS / 482 km/h max cruise speed with a range of 1,000 nm / 1,885 km., and equipped with the Garmin G1000 avionics suite.
